A refreshing change after watching series of 70mm
bullshit funded by big production houses in our country released every Friday.
Vicky Donor stands apart or maybe it will even set a trend in coming days if I
may say so.
A well chosen subject since it has never been touched before in
our movies but a producer can be sure of its successes since movies in
these genres have worked before and liked by multiplexes audience. For example
Love, Sex aur Dhokha, Delhi Belly, Kya Kool hain Hum and recently Dirty Picture
despite; primarily discussing adult content which was first avoided by producers back then has now developed a special niche for
themselves in recent years.
Movies with new director, actor, and producer are doing
more wonders lately opposed to established ones. Talking of which I couldn’t resist watching
Ayushman Khurana who marks his debut with a bang. He is one guy who is smart,
witty, and intelligent with typical Punjabi looks who managed to overshadow Nikhil
Chinappa in India’s Got Talent duo host opportunity. Since then I knew he has potential of making it big and now thanks to John Abraham :)
He plays a perfect Delhi guy on the
similar lines of Ranveer Singh in Baan Baaja Baraat but manages to get his
individuality.
The lead actress, Yami Gautam is charming on screen and
looks very beautiful unlike Anushka Sharma (I like her too but Yami is better). It was also fun to watch the sperm
guy aka Annu Kapoor in a major role. He is a wonderful actor but unfortunately
we all remember him as the discoverer of antakshari and few minor roles patchily.
Hope fully he will seen more on screen after portraying the Sperm Specialist (lol, confused sperm, complicated sperm, greedy sperm etc.).
The director of the movie has done wonder job in
providing a flow throughout the movie especially for such a sensitive topic for
most parts of India. Excellent job in giving equal screen space be it any
character e.g. biji with her daughter in law drinking together or the dance
time during marriage ceremony.
At last our star producer John Abraham who invested in such clever
witty movie that he is bound to make money out of it (he is gonna get rich) just like the last star
producer that I can remember of - Salman Khan for Chillar Party.
To sum it up I would say it’s a cool movie to watch out
this weekend or any time later. I loved it!
