Review: Jannat 2

It was surprising to watch people whistle and clap at most of the dialogues and scenes. I guess time has come that Emraan Hashmi claims his position as a star and he does it well with Jannat 2.
Proof? He carries off successfully with posters all across the city with solo appearance and masses are filling up the theaters to watch him, Amazing job!

The movie starts portraying Emraan hashmi as a rookie illegal arms dealer in the back drop of our Capital as Sonu Dilli aka KKC (Kutta Kamina Cheez)

Randeep Hooda is an ACP who has lost his wife and thus he wants to eradicate the illegal business of illegal arms dealings.
This Haryana hunk has done these kinds of cop-criminal roles in the past and has been successful in acting them out on screen. I fear he does not gets stereo typed but that’s a different topic altogether as far as this movies is concerned I would praise the Bhatt’s did not let Emraan Hashmi or any other character overshadow Randeep. He has well defined role and leaves a mark, I would not be wrong if I say that this movie will be another feather in his cap.

Esha Gupta is Beautiful and acts admirably for being a debutant. She brings perfect charm onscreen along with her co-actor. She has looks that could resemble different international stars in different parts of the movie, a girl from whom you cannot take your eyes away.

According to me the antagonist of the movie Manish Choudhary did not have the personality to carry off the character but the performance was good enough to get it going.

Finally the super star of the movie Emraan Hashmi delivers performance that will be noticed by everyone in the industry and this movie is “The Movie” according to me that will let him out of the Bhatt’s cocoon. He already is, I heard!

The dialogues in the movie are worth whistling on, of course with the help of uncensored abuses. So if you are planning for a family cine-get-together think again ;)
The direction is excellent and there was no time to doze, in fact there was a rhythm funny, light, rom-com and humorous content (don’t forget the uncensored abuses!) that kept you laughing and happy…isn’t that’s what you call entertainer?
The story is well scripted with some predictable twists that we Indians can now easily understand after watching 100 years of cinema and a decade of daily soaps!!

The climax of the movie reminds of the old 70’s and 80’s, you when you had to establish a actor into a star to get place in masses heart the protagonist usually ………………. in the climax, remember?

I think Bhatt’s have been successful in making a wonderful 2 installment of their Jannat franchise which showcases their in-house talent – Emraan Hashmi at his best and providing a launch pad to the Kingfisher girl Esha Gupta and thus giving us a beautiful girl to look forward to…

In all, it’s a movie that’s going houseful despite being names as Jannat 2 and is a perfect entertainment dose for this and coming week as well.
